Ok, guys.... sorry that I haven't responded.... to those of you who sent PM's to me, check your mailbox. As you may or may not know, Seguin was just hit by a horrible flood and I was forced to evacuate my apartment which was situated near the river and it was just now that I was let back in.... so sorry again for the delay.....

Ok, so here are the details as I know them:

1. Price- in the 30 dollar range. Doc had a one-off reverse indiglo proof that was going for 75 bucks, and it was stated that the regular indiglo HVAC's were going to be about half.

2. Package info- will be posted along with individual price by Cardoc on the FordContour website sometime soon, hopefully by tomorrow. As details come in I will definitely let you guys know, as I check both sites regularly. I am doing this not as a know-it-all, but as an aid to Cardoc for all the work he has put in/is putting in for all of us Contour owners. He asked for some help compiling a list, so I volunteered.

3. (quoted from Cardoc) "The HVAC's come with a separate dimmer and power supply because they require a special transformer. They cannot be plugged into the dash indiglo transformer - It will not work correctly. Also the HVAC's have their own dimmer exactly like the dash gauges. So you can adjust the brightness of your HVAC to match the dash gauges ( And yes, it is two color swtiching exactly like the dash gauges)."

If this still does not answer everybody's questions, please PM me. I will be more than happy to give as many details as I know. smile

I was not aware that the Speedo and HVAC gauges were color changing. Is that correct? What are the colors they change to?
Thanks.

The gauges and HVAC panel can be either regular indiglo blue or they can also be green. IIRC, it is only a one or the other color change... i.e.- no fading between colors. There is also a dimmer switch to adjust the intensity of the lights in case the full intensity is too bright.

Clusters are available from Doc in both the SVT and non-SVT versions, but keep in mind that if your car does not have a tach, then neither cluster will work. He is putting together a package deal for those of you who would like both clusters and HVAC panels who have not ordered either yet. I will keep everyone posted.

As to why the HVAC and instrument cluster won't wire together, it is because each one needed a different transformer to work properly.... and by using the cluster's transformer, you would not get the right amount of power for the HVAC panel. For specifics, please message Doc. Personally, I don't mind as I don't switch my gauge brightness and colors that often to worry about it, so once both dials are set thats where they are going to stay. I just cant wait to see how awesome they are both going to look once I get them. smile

had a question, if I bought indiglo gauges, would that make my problem go away? Problem being that my gauge illumination doesnt work at all and I dont think I will ever fix the problem, so like I asked would my problem cease to exist if I went ahead and wanted the gauges too? Also Im a little confused about that, I have a tach in my cluster, what I have gathered so far is that something wont work?? Please clarify!
