As for this GB, I'll have to check with the boss to see if I can get an advance on my toy allowance. If I can't make the group buy, I would certainly be interested in a $600 kit somewhere down the road, perhaps next year.

FYI, for those of us still on the Queen's system, drop appears to be about 1.6 inches. IIRC, the ST200 was about an inch lower than stock, according to the press releases/articles I saw (and if I'm thinking of the right car) so Terry's statement would put total drop at about 1.8 inches, but this is all pretty much a WAG.

My last question is this: Are these progressive or linear rate springs?

1.8" drop! That seems pretty steep. Oh well, just another reason why the g/f can't drive the car wink

After finding the website,
(Larkspeed), it looks like 40mm (1.6") may be the more accurate number. My memory of the factory drop on the ST200 is probably wrong, or was reported imprecisely.

Even 1.6" is more than I thought I wanted, but for a matched set built on a Koni foundation, at this price, I am willing to seriously consider it.

From http://www.racecar.co.uk/koni/flashmain.htm

KONI Sports Suspension Kits
Each kit contains front and rear adjustable sports shock absorbers
with matching Vogtland lowered coil springs. Individually designed
and tailored, they lower the vehicle by several centimetres and give
a firmer ride to obtain the best handling. Each Kit now comes
complete with a set of bump stops.

I'm definatly interested. I really need a new suspension but I will have to figure out how to come up with the cash.

So put me down as a maybe. Wish I could have a more definate answer, sorry.

Just curious why these are so much cheaper than regular Koni's? I wonder how aggresive they are compared to the BAT kit? And these are a matched set correct, which will cut down on the bounciness of other setups.

Thanks

The drop on an ST200 is 20mm,the drop on a stoc Mondeo is 40mm,Koni use springs from Vogtland (Germany) or Roc (Sweden) depending who has stoc...prices for batches of 5/10 etc to follow later...TH

I think they are the Koni reds, at least that is what the link went to on this page, however on the suspension page they look like they are yellows, so I am not sure?? I am interested either way.
