Re:ButtonPuncher 1.0b I'm not so sure switching the head will work as the VCT and the PCM work together (at least that's my understanding). Fooling the PCM could be a task in itself. Here's what the Ford CD says about the 2000 Zetec.
"A Zetec engine with variable camshaft timing is available for the first time in the Contour/Mystique. The name of this new engine is 2.0L Zetec-VCT. The suffix VCT stands for variable camshaft timing."
I'll try and find out what the possibilities of a head swap would be.
As to the TB, if any N.California members are reading this and own a Contour w/Zetec and is willing to come by Modesto sometime we could check that out as well. I still have my original TB and we could test fit it to the 'Tour.

There process is done in House and there designed down to exacting tolerances. The key in a TB design is a proper Radius, and they've got that down to a science. They've flow benched against equal sized CNC TB's and have found as much as 25cfm more due to a proper radius in the TB. There TB is used in the Renegade class where there are limits in TB size and this allows them to stay within rules and still get more AF! This hasn't changed the plans to make a TB in anyway, Thanks After some work with Method Motor Works in Fresno, I will go with 63 mm TB and the 73 mm CnL MAF . PM / email me with the when/ how much I owe you. Again, appreciate all your efforts .. jj

Lee & JJ sent you a PM...
The TB seems to have been lacking in the interest department but I'm still working on possible production. I will have updates soon, I'm currently waiting for status from builder and I may try another of my distributors. They actually will be able to make a better unit, equally sized but still flow up to 25cfm more than the current company I'm going with due to there stringent process of Radius design. The only draw back is this may increase cost just a bit. There really is no comparison between this TB and a stock optimized or 65mm Mustang TB.

So what is the final cost? I don't think I ever saw it.
Also, the other discounted products...will they be available for the same price if I purchase the TB later?

OK guy's the price is set, it'll be $239.95 . Since the TB's will be anodized a number of colors including numerous of non-anodized units which will have a highly polished aluminum look. Those that put deposits will have the choice of colors as long as they provide that prior to production. Colors will be on an availability basis. I have also decided to change the promotion feature to provide immediate rewards for those that put a deposit down on this project. The new promo is a savings of $30 on the TB so the new cost to those that come in on the buy-in is $209.95. The whole intention of this is to get the TB produced. Once it is produced the TB's will be readily available and that's my goal... *NOTE: The old Promotion is no longer prevalant. Again the discounted products are only available to those that put a deposit down of $40.00 and do purchase the TB thereafter production is final. The basic guidelines had been set in the intro of this Thread, plz refer to those post for more info. Do note that anything reffering to old promo is no longer prevalant. Refund policies, ect. ect. still stand...Mahalo, MACH 2 Motorsports
