I'm not so sure switching the head will work as the VCT and the PCM work together (at least that's my understanding). Fooling the PCM could be a task in itself. Here's what the Ford CD says about the 2000 Zetec.

"A Zetec engine with variable camshaft timing is available for the first time in the Contour/Mystique. The name of this new engine is 2.0L Zetec-VCT. The suffix VCT stands for variable camshaft timing."

I'll try and find out what the possibilities of a head swap would be.

As to the TB, if any N.California members are reading this and own a Contour w/Zetec and is willing to come by Modesto sometime we could check that out as well. I still have my original TB and we could test fit it to the 'Tour.
