Pakrat...I can't guarantee it, but it will probably be available, but at a higher price, more like $499. the thing is i don't know what quantities will be made since the overall intrests isn't that hight. After we do this group order, I don't know if they will want to do one at a time after that, probably only other group orders. The problem with getting stuff for our cars is that companies usually do bulk orders rom manufacturers/wholesalers and then resell the stuff, so they buy a bulk load of honda hoods and they sell them to the public easily since ther is a high demand for them, but if they buy a bulk load of contour hoods, i'm not sure if they can resell them easily, and I'm sure R1 (who is manufacturing the hood) doesn't want to do individual orders...but i could be wrong.

if they are not available, maybe in the future like the end of the summer or something i'll do another group order if the interest is there.

if this goes smoothly i might try to work a deal out for the pre-98 guys....but don't get your hopes up...i'll let you know in a few weeks.

SVTnKC...There is no talk of a scope.
Also the demand doesn't look that high so R1 will probably not do much mass production on this hood, only group orders. since the demand is so low i don't think a scope is going to happen at all.
personally i like OEM style better, but to be honest with you, its very difficult to get the hood scope idea going, because first, its too hard to get everyone ordering to agree on the style of scope, and second its hard for them to custom make the scope just how you want it. and since they are made overseas, it makes it difficult and costly for them to keep sending it back and forth so you can look at the scope design and give the approval on it.
Way to many hurdles to deal with especially the first time making this hood.

What do you think the turn around time is once the money is fronted? I'm pretty sure I want to get in on the buy.

I was told that once they get the donor hood and the molding fee it will be like 4-8 weeks before they ship all the hoods to me.

so since they said 4-8...i'd figure 6-10weeks to be sure, but who know it might not take that long.
