I'm firewalling anyone who is copying the whole site. It's killing the network connection!

So if you start doing it, you're guaranteed to not get back into the site AT ALL.

And, those of you who pull down pages, etc, please take note that you DO NOT have permission to post them somewhere. Personal use only.

That's no problem. He's talking about people that are sending programs through to automatically download every page on the site. They send requests for the pages so fast that it just kills the server.

Sorry. I've been downloading a lot of pages manually (read it, decide if I might need it, then download it) I got thru 65 pages on the problems section ....

Apologies, I won't do anymore. frown

Cut and paste is a wonderful thing. If you've got MS Word, just paste it into a document. No bandwidth sucked up there!

MS Word is what I did. I cut and paste a few FAQ's and How-To's that I will actually need, and that's all.

That's fine, I just don't want people using wget or HTTrack to automatically mirror every page ont the site. That was killing us earlier today.

Is that why the site was so sloooowww last night and this morning?

My apologies (I had attempted to mass-save the FAQs two days ago using the IE Offline-Favorites feature). I don't know if it worked or not even. There is just too much info to lose here!
