My $.02, I'll spend the extra $30 up front and buy from Terry for a few reasons
1)Terry is held in much higher regard and can get the parts reliably...not saying that cano is unreliable but at the same time there is no proof that he is. So for the sake of knowing I won't just be throwing $100 into the wind, I'll spend a little extra now since I know that Terry can back up his part and will deliver as he states. Also by going with Terry I KNOW I'm getting the right part and I will get it promptly, those can't be said yet for cano until he shows otherwise.
If cano had some kind of background on the CEG or had a reputable business my thought process might change, but personally I find it quite risky to send a $100 to Europe on the hopes of someone I don't even know.
2) Terry develops aftermarket parts for our cars, I'm more than happy to support someone who is actually making progress in our aftermarket. He hauls ass all-day everyday on Contours and I understand he needs to make a profit to survive. Terry has a REAL business, he's not just working all day for the hell of it...it's his job.
3) I've seen the support he has been given first-hand...I signed up for his transmission seminar along with around 10 other people...only ONE other person besides myself held his promise, and he wasn't even a CEG'er! (visits here but is mainly a NECO guy). I can understand why this type of **** pisses Terry off, everyone wants everything but no one is ready to pony up when the time comes.
Now I appreciate that cano is trying to help out a few CEG'ers and there is nothing wrong with that, I'd just rather know that the product I am paying for will be delivered promptly, will be the right part, and finally will contribute indirectly to the manufacturing of more performance parts.
IMHO, if $30 is all that seperates you from not eating this week or paying your rent, you shouldn't be wasting your money on car parts anyways! :p
