Folks,
Jeff Labelle (J-Lab) and myself will soon be offering upgraded upper strut bearing kits for the Contour/Cougar/Mystique owners that suffered the lack of testing that went into the initial kit.
Jeff designed the upgrade kit using a very sturdy bearing that goes into a mounting cup that he forms on an hydraulic press. The kit will be shipped as an assembly and will be pre-packed with grease. Detailed, step-by-step installation instruction sheets with pictures will be provided. This is an easy weekend mechanic's procedure, even for those of you that didn't install the Ground Control themselves. Limited tools will be required.
Pricing is NOT available as of yet, so please don't bother asking. I need to get a feel for how many kits we need to cook up before asking the suppliers for materials cost. I will compile the official list on this thread. More information is coming as we are tearing it down for inspection once more this weekend.
