The answer is simple. Do not count the "maybe's" toward the 30 minimum. Remember, it is a "minimum", order of 30, not maximum. I will hopefully get ahold of my friend and have an answer tomorrow, but sometimes it takes a few days for us to hook up, (conflicting schedules).
