1. Is this still on?
2. What does the cad plating do? Simply change color or does it affect the rotor at all? Does the coloring wear off as the rotors wear How much brighter is the silver cad plating over not cad plating.
3. Is there any difference between slotted and cross drilled? Is it just a prefrence?

I dont know much on this subject. But its time for new pads and id like to get some different rotors while im changing those out. smile
1. Yes, we would like to see 10 buyers.
2. Cad plating helps prevent corrosion of the rotor, looks like chrome (silver plating) so it appears brighter than a non plated rotor. The cad plating will eventually wear off the pad contact areas but will increase the life of the rotor because areas such as the vents are coated as well.
3. Debatable which one is better. Slotted may provide better stopping distances but at the cost of shorter pad life. Drilled are supposed to run cooler than slotted so brake fade is minimized.

Hope that helps.
