Because all scoops are non-functional right I never said that did I?? Don't try and make me look like a fool because I am right. I for one am tired off all this BS. Adding scoops, vents etc is going to do nothing but slow the whole process down. No one is not going to agree on anything and the project will be canceled. Just look at the body kit thread right now.. I can't believe I am saying this, but hellahydro is doing a damn good job trying to get one out. To many people with to many opinions. Making a stock CF is going to please more people then making one with 50 million non-functional scoops on a contour.

Nowhere did I say you were a fool, all that I am saying is that a functional hood scoop CAN be added to the hood for a Contour; where did hellahydro say he wanted a non-functional hood scoop??? What makes you right about your assessment that a hood scoop on the contour is not worth it? Your opinion about keeping the hood stock is exactly that, your opinion. Everyone else is entitled to his or her opinion on what they would like to see, just because you would prefer a stock hood does not make you right. Finally, please don't make this a personal grudge, I didn't call you a fool or any other name for that matter. I just don't think it is fair to cut down other peoples' ideas just because you may not agree as to what should go into this CF hood. Opinions are not a matter of right or wrong, they are a matter of taste.

Krafty, just look at past threads about hoods and body kits. A million ideas were thrown out and guess what??? No bodykit nor a CF hood. I think we can all agree on one thing and that thing is if we have a stock CF hood you can't go wrong. If you want a scoop add it yourself.

Well, back to the subject... I would definitly be in if it is purely a stock form with a regular latch and hinges. I could buy it within 3-5 months, as I am super short on cash lately. Let us know how much the fiberglass one will cost also, and weight of it. Verdict: Count me in.

I'll agree with you on the point that there has been a whole lot of talk and not a lot of action for sure. On the other hand though, I think it is better for the person producing the aftermarket parts to hear all opinions of what the consumer wants so he can figure out what would sell the most product.
Ultimately, there is only one person that has to make the decision of what style the part may take, and that is the producer. As you said before, Hellahydro is doing an excellent job running the group buy on the body kit; he is taking everyone's opinions into mind and then deciding what to incorporate and what not to add. Hellahydro is making the final decision based upon what he feels will be marketable and will sell 20+ kits that he needs for the GB.
So in the same manner, Micah has to decide what style hood he wants to make. The more opinions that are given, the more he can gauge as to what will sell and what will not. Once he decides what he is going to produce then that's it, no more opinions needed. But until then, I think it is best for all those that have the money to buy a CF hood express what they would like to see on the final product.
And just for the record, I am not particularly for or against hood scoops on a CF hood. I won't have the cash flow soon enough anyways so it doesn't matter what I would like. I'm just saying that those willing to pay should be allowed to interject in the discussion and let Micah know what they want before he decides what style to go with, I mean they are paying for it right?
