hey here is the deal, or more info on the deal. I will showing pics pretty soon of my car which is pre 98. this will have to do for you to see what it will look like. I will be doing both so I start with mine.
10-15 pounds is what I thought the hood would weigh. I was way off the hood will way 4 pounds
hahah gotta love carbon fiber. 4.25 pounds to be exact. these hoods can be carbon fiber and Fiberglass. your choice if you are just going to paint over it then dont spend the extra money on carbon fiber if you want the carbon look then go for the carbon fiber. the cost is up there up is well worth it due to the quality of parts and labor. The hood will be a simple bolt up and play setup. the cost of the carbonfiber hoods will be around $650 the cost of the fiberglass hoods will be cheaper and I will let you know the cost as soon as I can. these hoods will have a aerospace frame like the orginal hood (but with areospace) strength with no be an issue.
There is one issue we are working on now, which is how will you open the hood either with hood pins or stock connection.
This is reality so please only post if you are intrested and can do it very soon. for this will be starting to a week if enough people are intrested.
