I knew a Bob Johann in IASCA but he drove some Chevy Lumina Z34 with a 5 speed, not an SVT. We judged alot of competitions together in 1998.

The Z34 died back in June of '99 so I got the SVT to take its place. Judged 1998-2000 including the 2000 IASCA Finals before re-entering the competitor ranks for 2001. What is your name?? (IndyTour doesn't tell me much...)

-HWCM- ,
I just looked at your post on the other thread about this. I am waiting till I get the good ones in before I start sending them out. The problem is that I am not sure what he wants me to do with the bad ones. Most likely I will be selling them dirt cheap or returning them. I will let everyone know when this happens.
Here is the latest Email from Grant:
Hi Bill,
An update for you. The carpet mill submitted color samples that I rejected, still too far off color. They are trying again and should have more ready in a couple of days.
We'll get this right yet!
Grant

Thanks for all the work, Bill, I really do appreciate it!
How far off are the bad mats? Just curious, as the one set of fronts were going to be for winter use here in Minnesota, so they'll be salted in no time anyway. So the front set may work with those if the price is right.
On the full set, I'm willing to wait for the match to be right. That's going to be the summer set, so I want those right.
Dumb question: How stupid does this carpet mill have to be to be mismatching so badly? Can't they computer match colors for dying like you can for paint pigments?
Anyway, thanks a million for all the effort!

Bad mats dirt cheap - I'll take a set and the new ones when they come in too. Nothing like SVT mats in other cars...can never have enough floor mats.

Here is the latest in the "Floor Mat Saga", this was a letter sent on Friday from Grant: Hi Bill,
Just got the color samples back from the mill. They made up six samples, all slightly different in shade. I checked them against your OEM mat and they are very close.
The difficulty I found in matching the colors to the mat is that the shading of the mat changes when you brush it in each of the four directions. Try it, you'll see what I mean.
I'm sending you all six color samples. You will have them Monday. On the back of each sample are labels with the dye formula and a line for sign off and date. If one sample meets with your approval, sign, date and cut the sample in half. Mail one piece to me and keep one for your file.
Once we have approval of a color it will take about a week to get the carpet.
Oh, by the way, you should be here today to get ready for Las Vegas. It's 95 degrees and low humidity. Strange for February! So I will have more info on Monday. :p
