If the "Florida car" is the one I remember seeing, I don't think too many people will want the "Frankenstein" look. That car was ugly. Lots of the body work was missing in front, either for necessity or because they hadn't gotten around to fitting it back on. Seems like any power gain they saw would be lost on the worse aerodynamics of the body.
