whats the purpose of the big 180 degree loop in the y pipe? From what I understand its just to make the 2 sides equal in length but isn't that more retstrictive? whats the benefit?

Why not use two straight pipes and join them in the center, to each other, like an "A" ?

That would allow the pressure to cross over, and make up for the differences in length, wouldn't it ?

This sucker looks ugly, and just moves the drone in front of the converter.

looks like they are using mandral bends, so I dont' think the extra piping would make it more restrictive, just makes the pipes equal lenght. But then again, I'm no exhaust expert either. Just my common sense :rolleyes:
