Piece of mind is figured in to that cost too, and I have seen and heard how much R&D Brad, Chris H and I think Rick have put in to these gauges.
Until I see that kind of proof from source #2, that is all they will be is a second source. Think of it this way, "You get what you pay for". Not to dredge up the past here, but I think the same can be said for his exhaust too.
