christof, Maybe you missed this post: Orginally posted by HellaHydro: Carisma Auto Tech in California has agreed to a group buy to custom fabricate an ENTIRE body kit for the 98+ Contours for $13000. 13000 divided by 20 = $650 per person. If that's not a deal, I don't know what is as I was hoping for just a front end in the $500 range. Here's the details: Basically we have TOTAL creative control on this project. We will be going with a front end that will be very similiar in design to the Saleen front end with a few modifications which we've already discussed earlier in this post (i.e. no fish gills, no custom fender work etc.) The side skirts and rear fascia still need to be decided upon. What they suggested was choose one's that we like from other cars and they will do the custom work necessary to make a similiar design to fit our cars.
Just for the record, I still have some negotiating to do with Carisma. I am still unsure if they will need the money up front or after. I also think it would cost more money for them to design a kit from the ground up as well so thats another issue too. I would appreciate your patience in this matter as I get the final details worked out.

I really like that Saleen front end, except for the little vents or whatever right in front of the wheels. Other than that, the Saleen front is SWEET! As for the sides and rear, they are also nice, but (correct me if I'm wrong) they won't work without the fender flairs in the front and back. If this is an 8 piece kit, never mind. Just something to consider.

The Saleen is sweet, and I wouldn't want to deviate much from it but is there a way to have them draw up a concept of what it would look like before we had to commit to it? And what was that about the hood?

Sorry about that. I was referring to the headlight lenses on the purple car at the top of the page. The body kit looks great. If you know someone else I could speak to about the lenses, that would be great. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

no problem, those lights are actually for the mondeo and they will take some custom work to get them to fit on a contour. do a search in the aesthetic forum for Mondeo body kit or headlights and you will find some links.

To all those wanting a Mondeo body kit, there is already somebody else working on that. This group buy is for a kit with the Saleen Front End and new side skirts and rear valence. Please post all your thoughts/pictures regarding Mondeo style body kits in the Mondeo body kit post. Thanks for your attention to this matter.
