Whatever happened to this deal? Does anyone have their rims? Let's see some pics! zxtuner, any chance of getting another Group Buy going in the spring?

GB is dormant - not dead. Still waiting for Ford to release the wheels thru the Motorsport program... I'm still taking names and holding onto them until the wheels start to arrive. NO $ IS BEING COLLECTED UNTIL THE WHEELS START TO SHIP.

About the CF hoods, are they shaped to 98+ model or pre-98 model?

Whatever we need, providing I submit 10 orders to cover the mold making costs.

Right now, I have submitted 3 hoods for molds (Focus, ZX2, and 91-96 Escort/Tracer)

This Friday, I'll be trial fitting the first hoods of these molds. Once the GB for the first batch is done (Feb 1 approx), I'll then see if I can get enough orders for both pre 98 and 98 up Contour, as well as Cougar

Also, if there's any CF trim parts (like rear door window mldg) that you guys want, we can make that too.

E1 style wheels weigh in at about 18.5 pounds so these are a little heavier.

Typically, as you increase wheel diameter for the same given style of wheel, the wheel weight goes up.

15" to 16" usually means an increase of 2-3 lbs. per wheel
16" to 17" usually means 3-4 lbs.

So, since the E1 wheels are 16", it's quite natural for the same design SVT wheel in 17" to weigh 22.5 lbs.

I don't know if this topic is dead or not. I spoke to one of my friends with FoMoCo. The SVT wheels are not 'supposedly' going to be available to the public until after March 4th which is when the factory indicates it will be done with the first run of SVT Foci. They currently do-not have enough wheels for the SVT Foci that are slated to be built. The price of $139.00 is the best I've ever heard, and is a far step below the $181.00 list price or the normal retail price of well over $250.00 that Ford screws the public with. If the current deal of $139 a wheel falls thru let me know. I can get as many wheels as we can buy at the $181 list price with free shipping and low tax it works out to about $191 a wheel.

Well that explains why they're backordered right now. This buy is not dead though, I have pricing secured and an order placed thru Ford Racing... Only thing left to do is wait

those of you that can't wait might want to check out Enkei RS5 wheels, available in a 17x7 and weighing 19.8 lbs for $150 .

Hmmmm. Actually, there's alot of attractive 17" rims for under $150.
