I know what you are talking about. bought those way back when. SMP291 owns my old car. If you live anywhere there is humidity it makes them cloudy really bad for some reason.
I found that if you use a good automotive paint polish (not wax, I tryed that and made them worse) you can keep them looking pretty good. I think the reason was that CF was designed for dash kits that would not see the elements.
