I just bought a Cobra 9550. It works wonders for $160 - $20 rebate. Paid for itself already. I think that a $300 detector is overkill, this one works very well on the highway. At 60mph, I have a good 30 seconds until I can even see him when it goes off. And FWIW -- the Cobra is upgradable.
