as for that, i have the same issue. i was planning on getting the remote display unit. in which case i'll rip that sucker apart and stick in green,orange, and red LEDs. maybe even blue for laser just to be uber-cool.
and if i void the warranty, who cares? it's just the display. it only costs $25 or something. WORD.

ive got a uniden myself. ive gotta say this is probably the best radar detector ive seen in a while (besides the v-1). its about a year old and so far has been the best one ive ever owned. ive had a bel and a cobra and they both sucked. they both broke like just after year old. they both gave tons of false alarms and hardly any warning until ur right on the cop. the uniden is superb so far. 360 laser and all. im very pleased with it at $120. has saved me NUMEROUS times on the parkway and turnpike. it even talks to me. well, it talks, maybe not to me though. i try to respond with questions but i get no answer... maybe a defect?

ok, so as we suspected they don't do group discounts.

they do sell the return units that are back from 30 day trials. The sales guy said you can't tell the difference and they all are less than 30 days old (meaning they have the newest firmware).
they have varying numbers in stock. Today they have two (2), but i already bought one!

were these returned units bad, unsatisfied people.... im curious in why they are returned.

Someone's wife, err, accountant decided it wasn't in the budget.

they were returned before the 30 day trial was over. These units are not refurbished, not dirty, and can not be distinguished from the "real thing". The come with the same 30 day money back guarantee and the full warantee.
everything is the same. they are just "used" and $40 cheaper!

Well after over a month of my Cobra 9550, I can swear this thing is great. For those not willing to spend the $359 or whatever, head to Best Buy and get a Cobra 9550. $160-$20 rebate. There 9850 is the same but it talks as well.
