Most of the guys seem to be fitting them OK over here. The bolt can be removed and replaced with a Flathead if required (self tapper). Don't know if there is a differance between the hatchback and saloon (sedan) though. As I say, I'm a little scared to bend bits to make them fit. I have sold them to a Mk1 owner.
I might try a different type later.
