Ok, i have spoken to my contact, GTM Motorsports in NJ, and he is willing to host the group buy..he will get prices on the struts to me by the end of the day,

i gave him two options

1) 5 sets for SVT's

2) 10 Sets for SVT's

is there anything else you guys want?

I e-mailed you with my info. Note that I have a non-SVT, early model Contour.

In fact "for SVT's" is irrelevant, except that they were produced in 1998 and beyond. There were differences in the spring perch and in the springs between the early and late 'Tours.

This does not pose a problem for me, since I plan to replace the springs as well as the struts. Late struts plus late springs will work on any year Contour, SVT or not. (In case anyone was wondering...)

so you'll be getting the pricing tonight? Let us know because I'm talking with a few other companies and it's really leading nowhere so far unless we have a ridiculous 25+ in on the buy.

I'm sorry if I'm being a pain in the @$$ here, but just to clarify again. SVT or non-SVT does not matter. Pre-98 and post-98 does.

If you buy Koni struts for pre-98, you will want springs for pre-98. If you buy Koni struts for post-98, you will want springs for post-98. Also, you may fit matched post-98 springs and struts to the pre-98 cars, but not the other way around. (All this according to the guys at BAT.)

If your source is flexible, there shouldn't be any problems, but if they demand that our group purchase all consist of the same part numbers, then we'll need to go with matched post-98 spring/strut combo.

Again, I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but I would hate to see anybody have a good deal spoiled by fit issues. And, I want to make sure everyone out there understands how to get in on this deal.

what about the ground control coilover set for the SVT? I'd be in on that.

If that's them, check on the price of the S-AFC is ya could.. Maybe not a group buy, just interested in seeing if he can do better than the $320 I see elsewhere.

I would be interested on a good price for the Borla exhaust. I'll be keeping an eye out for the prices.
