HI ALL...

Just wanted to gauge some interest here...I know that a Borla Group Buy is nearing its completion so I do not know how many of you might be interested now.

Here is what is going on.
Performance Fords has approached a number of companies, evaluated them on technical expertise, knowledge, people etc. We are going forward with one particular company and will be prototyping a new cat-back system on my 1999 SVT over the next week where we will fine tune it once it is on the car. Details of the system are still sketchy as is pricing, but I wanted to see how many would be interested in a choice in exhaust systems besides the Borla, the Bassani and that nifty dual system and how much one would be willing to pay for a system.

Every piece of these system is custom made in the same factory from a respected "smaller" manufacturer" that has done systems for anything from Ferraris and Lamborghini to the likes of the import craze niche.

They are stainless tubes, mufflers, resonators, tips....

More exact infomation will be available about the systems once prototyping begins early next week at which point I will release the name of the company. I will not release the name at the moment as I do not want them to be bombarded with calls about details when they are not even available.

Any interest, comments, suggestions, other?

Thanks,

Alessandro

Now why'd you have to go and bring this up? Right now I've been debating on a Borla exhaust or Bassani...I think I've settled on Bassani cause I like the tips and the performace. I'm definately interested. I'd have to see the results of this mystery exhaust though to make a final choice.

I'd need to know the dyno results. I'd also like a sound sample. I'm willing to pay up to 1K for something really good. (not ricey/rasping sounding)

I'll be in the market for a new exhaust in about 2 months.

I gotta hear it first. Also, dyno results with a Y-pipe would be a good idea also.

I would be interested in a system that has that Euro BMW sound... Nice and smooth..No rasp or drone.. Some Greddy systems have a nice low, mellow rumble to them which sound nice...
Thermal R&D and Tri-flow exhaust systems sound good too... I would pay 350-500??..
Keep me posted..

Also,

Any Zetec owners want a cat-back system?

I will be meeting with the owner of the company early next week. I will start a new topic if there is enough interest and I will pitch the idea to him.

thanks,

Alessandro

i too was debating between the borla and bassani. hearing the bassani tomorrow and making a decision before borla group buy ends.

what's the time frame for the exhaust to be prototyped, tweaked, dynoed, pics and sound clips posted.....oh never mind. i can't wait that long - y-pipe should be here next week and want to do the exhaust at the same time!

Hey I'm putting my y-pipe on the shelf until I do the entire exhaust all at once.
