That's all I could find in the search. Could somebody give me an exact measurement of their bar so I can try to find an alternative. TIA

Guys,

Not sure about a rear bar, there are three that I have seen.

1) Made by SHO shop
2) In a magazine I ordered from Tuning Zubehor. Red Steel can't recall the price, they had matching front and rear.
3) Same magazine but in aluminum, they had matching front and rear.

You should really give them a call and order there magazine, especially if you have a BMW or Audi talk about mad parts!!!! Its like 550 color pages. Releatively cheap too.

Anyways not sure about the Aluminum vs Steel, I am pretty sure you will loose some weight but would only be compromised by stiffness. But I'm not sure to what degree.

Let me know if you need any more info.

Peace!! smile

I would buy from OMPWINS over Driving Impressions any day of the week. Take it from a former Driving Impressions employee (me) that they do not have the bars in stock, and that it will take them forever to get enough of them in. I know how DI works, I have known the owner Bob Zecca for almost 8 years and worked for him for 1 before I quit in disgust. OMP is great stuff, but man DI can (and will) lead you on for quite some time with "it's almost here" or "it's in customs" before they actually deliver. They WILL come thru, but it's going to be a long time before you see the bars.
Also, it's hard to beat $99 shipped from OMPWINS! Just my 2 cents...

I havnt found a good bar for those who drive v6 tours so I decided to do my own (it helps to work at kirkhams (kirkhammotorsports.com) where I have access to a cnc. the comprimise from aluminum from steel is negligable and I am using 6061 T-6 alum. which actually is stronger than mild steel (used a lot in cars) which means that my sheet metal will bend before my bar will. and the alum is a third the density of steel so there is a definite advantage in weight.

I started milling the prototypes today- they will be alum in color. as for the center bar I will try both steel and alum. ill see which works best both packaging and effectivness. I plan on leaving the ends clear-coat and the center ford blue.

I have the OMP tuning Zuberhor polished alum bar, and it looks great! Only thing is, my local sho shop says it cannot be welded or bolted on for clearance purposes, so it is just wedged into place. Any ideas?
