Hi all,

I am having the dashboard recall kit done today to my 1999 Contour. I wanted to know if there is anything I should know before I have this done.Is there a certain kit I should make sure they put on.

Thanks

there's a thread on that issue somewhere with "after" pics.
I don't think you have to do anything......
You might search the site for it, I can't remember the exact date, but it's like a month ago...

I got mine done yesterday. They put this big black ugly piece of plastic, its like a bigger vent, that holds the rest of the dash down, it also come out from the underneath of front of the windshield. The over all design and look isnt bad but I have tan interior and its BLACK it doesnt match at all.

I have blue interior and the original vent plastic piece was black. I guess they are going to give me the black recall fix. I just hope they do a good job and it doesnt look bad.

I had mine done yesterday also.
Tan interior, ugly black piece on dash.
I asked my Service Advisor to have it painted to match the interior, but he said it'd be out of my pocket.
It has grown on me a bit since, but I wish Ford would have made it go from a-pillar to a-pillar and to the windshield.
Now I just have to wait until my new a-pillar covers come in to replace the scratched ones...
