Hey all,
I posted to the MR2 list about Tim Kirk's HUD in response to a question and
they researched a Group Buy as listed below.  Please contact ME and I will
forward it to the IMOC guys and keep all involved posted.

You might get more responses if you define HUD/VSD/etc.

The details are at Defi Shop. The VSD2 is available with english units and looks neat but I'm holding out for the Sport VSD. It's only available in metric units now but one in english units is supposedly in development. Email them, maybe they'll speed the process along.

HUD = heads up display. It projects instrument readings into your field of vision. Carryover from the aviation world where visibility is paramount.

HUD's make it so you don't have to glance down and look at your speedometer while you're driving.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming that the HUD gets it's speed reading from the OBD, so it isn't prone to speedometer error?

Yes and no. They factory speedo isn't calibrated right. At least not on my car.
The HUD I installed is accurate. I had my GPS in the car with me, And they read the exact same. I also compared it to my OBD2 scanner and it was dead on with that as well. So the speedo itself is whats not calibrated. HTH, Tim
