PA 3L SVT you live the the area? pymouth meeting / blue bell / norristown it covers all the pig in the area.
Horsham police bought a light gun recently also and they supposedly are pulling people over in Bucks and Montgomery county for tint. I guess my days of limo tint on my Camaro are numbered. frown

BTW, I live in Broomall and I've had this tint since 98 with only 2 mild warnings.

I've read up on that website linked above before when I was looking to get tints. Basically it says that the law does not have an official limit on tint in pennsylvania but cops will pull you over for it anyway. It also goes on to explain that it doesn't matter what the law says because the judge can decide in favor of the cop anyway. I find the whole thing completely retarded unless the kid is driving with 5% tint all around because all of the factory tints are way less than 70% anyway and if you look at the tint law for other states they are nowhere near 70%

I believe that the reciprocality laws would protect your tint in this case. If one state's laws allow it, then simply driving through another state does not mean your car must meet all their laws. Basically, if the item in question is part of the car (Ie. exhaust, tint.) then they cant do anything about it. Radar detectors are another story, as they can be removed to make the car legal. I have the same problem here in CT with my car. My exhaust is a flowmaster muffler, thats it (cats are fixed too) and my tints are 20% (legal here is like 40%) I have been pulled over, and since my car is registered in OK they have to follow OK laws (which would mean my tint, and exhaust sound is legal, but obviously not the other 'fixes') So to answer your question, she might get flack for the tints, but if its legal in TN, then legally, your fine. They also can not make you get the car inspected in PA. Just make sure everything is perfectly in line; up to date insurance cards, tags within experation dates, etc. This will prevent them for being able to actually bust her for something. -Nick
