There is a pic of your car in there ron, it's just that my thumb takes up quite a bit of room there

yeah, that's right everyone, i had to hitch a ride back to Erie with Ron, many thanks to him for turning back around to get me!! As i was leaving the Ford nationals, my car decided that it didn't want a CV joint and a transmission anymore so i had to call AAA and drop it off at a transmission shop and then walk back to the show from there. I felt kinda weird coming back with only a bookbag and my thumb sticking out. Anyways, i had better get back to the newspaper and keep looking for another job. Who knows, maybe i'll find a new tranny in the classifieds.

A special thanks to Allen!! Not only did you leave a tent to chill under for the night but you were also very consoling in what was probably one of my biggest detours in life so far. Thank You.

I'd also like to send a special thanks to Ron. If you hadn't come I probably wouldn't have those nice 16" E0 wheels on the tour, and it definitely would have been a long ass walk home. Thanks so much!!

I'll keep everyone posted on how my car is doing. The shop doesn't open until Monday.

As for the Ford Nationals, i couldn't possibly have better things to say about it!! I had way to much fun, and a farmers sun burn to prove it. I'll be back next year!!

well now to rant on about the show...

allen your the man for really keeping on people about it...you were the backbone of the CEG for that event...much kudos...

to all of you i talked to...(green first generation zetec with the polished wheels)...you were all very nice people, glad i got to meet you all finally after talking to you on here for about...oh i would say 4 years now...lol...

it was a great weekend...cant wait till next year...

next year lets just demand that all the contours are in the same class...not svt's in one, and the others in another...is that bs or is it just me?...lets keep all the contours together!

No problem Craig, we don't leave Contour owners stranded! Plus, I knew you wanted to drive my car and feel the CTA intake anyways I probably wouldn't have made it all the way home by myself without pulling over to sleep, so thanks go out to you too

My rims are coming probably today or tomorrow, and Craig and I'll be ordering some Ford Racing 9mm wires and some touch up paint for the front bumper. (When I took off the front license plate cover it had chipped, plus there's marks from it.)I'm also going to do the mesh grille project, possibly during my vacation in July or maybe one of these weekends, so I can have it ready for our NW meet in Grove City! Any of you guys want to come there June 22nd?

Hey Craig, give me an update man! What's up with the tranny/CV Joint?

well, i talked to the tranny shop and the guy didn't say a single thing about the tranny or the CV joint, all he said was that i was "probably" only going to need a new axle??.........that's all i know right now. I was really having a hard time getting straight answers from this guy , but i'll call him again in the morning.

John, the wheels look great as far as i'm concerned. I don't have the SVT caps on there yet cuz i didn't have the right size lugnuts. I'll get them sometime :rolleyes: . All these problems are kinda settin me back on cash.

Axle? What about the fact that you can put it in park and roll it down the road?

What a bum. Of all the places to drop it off at... :rolleyes: I feel for ya man!
