My buddy is letting me use his big Chevy truck so I think I can manage all pretty quickly by myself. We should definitely get together after this happens. It will be such a big load off of my shoulders.
Oh, Luca, I've probably got that botch job tied with my car. Wait til you see my front end on my SVT. Wow! It was off of a red SVT and it shows.

Oh no, the front is off of a red SVT. Paint's flecking and peeling bad. As soon as I get the 3.0L paid off I need to check price on a complete off the frame repaint.

How could I forget Fat Jack's! Too bad Miz's was sold. Brian, was that your silver SVT at Brown Daub a while back???? Had the black square pattern and the wing? I parked next to it once or twice while my Explorer was in for repairs. Shaun's my buddy! In need if a good paint job, check out Scott's Auto Service. He's the best in the area as far as I'm concerned. Kicking myself for not taking my kid's car there as it would've been done right the first time. He's in Forks Twsp., been in business for as long as I can remember. They used an after market bumper on Steph's car( no nice used ones). Just put it on the car and painted it. Looks like h***! Big gouge on one side and a dent on the other. You could tell at 20 feet away that the paint didn't match. Should have gone to Scott's, but no, I had to save a few bucks. Off to take my kid to work. Have fun! Yup that was mine... With the dead motor at that time.... This FORD has been so good to me, I'll never buy an other, or should I say the Ford Dealers have been good. Brown Daub wasn't too bad just too expensive!!! Gilboy Ford replaced the motor,clutch,computer,O2 sensor(after the computer I don't think there was anything wrong with the computer) While it was there my new spark plug wires where stolen, my trunk lock was destroyed, back seat folded in half, misc. stuff missing out of the car. After a 1000 miles I took it to get the oil changed and rotate the tires, and to my surprise the aliment was so off that the metal belts sticking out on the inside lip of the front tires. So I ended up getting a new set of tires and re-aliment. Oh but they are looking into who stole the stuff yet! I'm still waiting for a call...
I wouldn't recommend them to anyone....
How's Shaun's Mustang coming along?
I've been looking at the new VW Jetta TDI(I drive 100miles a day to work and back). But I the SVT it worthless so I would lose about $9000 on a trade.(figuring the new motor and stuff) So I'm stuck with it, hopefully I'll get more then 43,000 miles out of this motor.

Luca, we definitely need to meet, I want to see your 'daughters' contour! LOL Brian, I hope you get more than 43k out of it, too! I'm looking at buying a daily driver so I won't have to put 1,100 miles a week on it anymore. I'm tired of doing the oil once a month!!

Yea, saw that your car was at BD for quite a while. Was thinking maybe the guy that owns the SVT won't miss that wing. :p I could paint it green and put it on Steph's car. LOL! I'm really sorry to hear that you had stuff stolen and damaged. I swear I didn't take anything!! I've had a few Jetta's. Great cars but only if you have a five speed. The automatics are terrible. I think at one time or another everyone at BD has been involved with fixing my Explorer. I don't even bother taking it in anymore because they can never find the problem. Paint problems, musty odor from the heat/AC, engine hesitation, and it won't start when it's hot out. And the list goes on... Car always runs great while they have it. Don't know how the Mustang is coming along. I'll make sure to ask next time I go in. John, Steph just has a plain ol' Contour. Working on getting her some wheels. Would like to put on a CAI kit with a new exhaust to give it a small boost. Found a wrecked Contour near Reading and wanna ask the guy if he'll sell me the wheels. She's only had her license for 6 months and isn't that great at parking (have driveway) so a used set is what I'm looking at right now. Anything bigger than the 14's that are on there now! Looked at a 95 GL before we found this one. It had a terrible noise in the dash and the dealership wasn't willing to fix it. So we passed on that. She liked the style of the 98 better anyway. Not as loaded as the GL but it does the job. Already put in keyless entry w/alarm, a cd player, spoiler. The power window kit is next as are new speakers since she already blew one out. One thing at a time. I've shown her the pictures on this list and she's starting to get ideas for her own car. At first she said "it's a Contour, a family sedan", now she wants to fix hers up. Good luck with the SVT Brian! Happy moving John! My parents have a Explorer and it too has had the motor replaced at 10,000 miles under warranty. It seems like all the dealers are the same when it comes to finding what's wrong. Beleive it or not most of the proplems I've had, I found someone else on here with the same problem and could fix it myself. The only reason I took it to Ford was in hopes that they would help in the $5000 for the motor, but they didn't. Oh well that's life live and learn to NEVER buy a Ford again! :p But I still own two others besides the SVT. 1983 T-Bird (rusting in the woods at my parents) 1995 Mustang GT Convertible (Canary Yellow with a black top.) It a "GOOD" Ford sees about 3,000 miles a year.
