On of my friends was training to be a firefigher and part of the training was on how to fight certain fires. This is what he learned from fighting gas fires. This may only be true for California, but gas stations are allowed to put a certain amount of water in their tanks (the tanks already have moisture/water being underground they can add more). 76 gas is the best since they use the least amount of water in their gas. Cheveron under that. Shell and Arco being the worst.
