Did anyone notice the big poles with solar panels and what looks like cameras mounted on them next to the highways? I've seen them on 476 and 76 on my way to KOP mall. I'm guessing they have them at other places too. Does anyone know what the hell they are?

I'd assume they are traffic cameras that are hard to get power to, reason for solar panel.

They are HEIGHT ALERTS for trucks that are OVERHEIGHT.

They are putting a lot of them here in NY, since trucks tend to wander onto the parkways frequently.
So far, none of them have taken down a bridge, but the bridges just keep on winning !!!

OUCH !!

Some of them are cameras. They allow PENDOT to monitor the traffic.Fox news uses them sometimes to show live feeds of traffic.
