Nope, if anything, they're even worse.. I saw a mesh grille that got nailed with a stone and was ruined within 2 weeks of being installed. Yet I've seen SVTs with 100,000 miles on them, and they still look fine.

EDIT: I have the Elky Mesh. If installed correctly, it can be very strong. I've had good luck with it in just under 6 months now.

Oh - and its AWESOME to catch bugs!! I have this "Thing" hanging from the lower front mesh - it has to be the UGLIEST bug/fly/bird eek I've ever seen. I need to take a picture of it.....It's caught right by its neck! laugh eek
