I just drove my car here this weekend as I'm in the process of moving from Detroit to Philly (company bought other company - new honcho says come on down to Philly and work at corporate HQ - I say sure i like having a job). I'll be living downtown and working in Bensalem.

I've got an '00 Black and Tan SVT with the d*** factory spoiler - Oh where's a good SVT dealer for service?

I'm the Director of Infrastructure and Expansion for a Validation Consulting Company to the Pharmacuetical, Medical Device and Biotech industries.
Welcome to Philly. I live 5 miles west of city limits (Broomall, Delaware County). Living in the city will be big $$$ with insurance.

I just picked mine last month so I don't know of a good SVT dealer yet.

Don't forget the wage tax, Tommy. Living in Philly and working out requires tax to be paid to the city. Same with living out and working in, and doing both. I forget what the resident working out of town rate is, but it is somewhere in 3 - 4%.

My bro-in-law dropped his car insurance by half when he moved from inside city limits to Bucks County.

Probably better off living in Bucks, somewhere near Bensalem, if you're going to work there. Especially when compared to living inside city limits.

Wage for living in and working outside the city is 4.7%. I found out last night when I had dinner with a friend whos living/working arrangement is the same. He said that with the wage tax that just moving out of the city would be equivalent to a yearly raise for him. frown
