It's about an hour from the MD line to where the meet is . I imagine you're coming up 83 to 222 ?? The diner is near the intersection of rts. 222 & 76 , just north of Ephrata . Very easy on/off .

Not sure about moving this meet to Gettysburg ... maybe the next one can be set up closer to there . I wonder if we've got anyone here living close to there that wants to set up the next one ... (hint , hint )

Hey Allen, you mentioned any one close to G-burg willing to "set-up" a meet.... well, what does that involve. I live in Hanover, about a 20 minute drive east of Gettysburg. Would be willing to help do whatever???

Well , basically what I had in mind was someone nearby that could scout out an easy to find spot , with decent access for people who aren't really familar with the area (don't want people lost & wandering around PA looking for the spot) .

The place could be a restaurant , hotel , school , picnic grove , your house ... something like that . It (obviously) needs a parking lot of a decent size so we can meet & shoot the breeze & look at each others cars & mods or whatever . Hopefully the lot's owner doesn't mind a buncha Contours & Mystiques polluting their lot for a while .

If you want to , you can route a fun run or something from the meeting place to a restaurant , picnic grove or attraction . It's always nice to have a meal at the end of a rally ... sort of an incentive . It can be a "theme" rally ... with our Triumph sports car club we went on a few "Covered Bridge Tours" where we went through some old , wooden covered bridges in central PA . I'm not familiar with the area , so I couldn't get to any again on my own ... but it was fun ! But we always ended up at a restaurant to eat & talk . LOTS of fun !

You get the idea ... nothing too bad , just a bit of legwork . It could be something as easy as finding a restaurant with a big lot to planning a fun run . Easy as you want it . The main thing is getting together with fellow Contique owners & talking & having a good time .

Just post any date , time , place suggestions in the forums under a New Topic & see what happens . I'm sure it'll take off ! Let me know if I can help you at all .

THIS INFO GOES FOR ANYONE WISHING TO HAVE A MEET IN THEIR AREA ! If you're wishing someone would have a meet nearby ... take the first step ! That "someone" could be you !

I've got some ideas for this summer , so stay tuned ...

The thought has occurred to me! We have some MONDO curvy mountain roads, for sure!!! It would be very cool to do one during the summer, and make it an over-night camping thing at Blue Knob State park campgrounds...
