Now it's probably obvious why Ford stripped down the car the last time they brought it over. At that price, it just wouldn't be able to compete and would be out of place in their price lineup. Most people would think: why pay that much for a Contour, if I can get a bigger (remember, bigger = better) Taurus. And I'm sure many others would think, why pay that much for a Ford when I can get a BMW for a little more. Ford of Europe and Ford of NA are two very different companies courting two very different markets, and unfortunately it'll probably stay that way.
Nice review btw, wish I had one, though at that price, I'd rather buy an E36 M3 (see what I mean... :p )
