There was some discussion (while a few of us were at Maple Grove tonight) about maybe having a meet there . They have some saturday "grudge" (heads up) racing days scheduled yet this year . They're on 9/30 , 10/7 , 10/21 , 10/28 and 11/4 . I do believe that they race from 10am till 4pm on the saturday Grudge events . You do not need a helmet but you do need long pants and a short sleeve shirt . It's 20 bucks to run , less just to watch .
I think we're talking about the September 30th date , that way if there's rain (or really bad lightning like tonight) we can reschedule it . I know Doug , Pete & myself are goin' racing no matter what , but it would be cool to see more of your smiling faces there too !!!

Let me know what you guys think !!!

We can have another get together too besides the racing thing ...just post some ideas!!

hey allen, i guess it is only going to be pete, you and me going to the the drag's on the 30th. it doesn't seem like anybody is interested. hey im getting rid of my plastic intake pieces. my dad want's a kit like my kkm and i told him to buy the focus kit for me and he would get my kkm system. i want to see what kind of power that is going to give me. hey do you still have that boot off your airbox? did you notice any difference? oh one more thing my grizzly clutch is in i started at 7:00 a.m monday morning and just got done about an hour ago. i love it. well talk to you later

I would be interested in going on Sep 30th. I don't think I would race though. Except for the two mods I have everything else is stock and my tires have 30K on them -- wouldn't want to crash or anything. I don't have any kind of racing experience whatsoever (did beat up on a Jetta once). Do you guys think I should try to race?

Yea - I've still got the little tube off my air box . It really gives out a deep growl now when I stand on it ... cool !!! The only thing now is that I jump on it all the time to hear the airbox screamin' !! Good mod

Alex --- you've already got more mods than me !!! I'd say RUN IT !!! I've got a '95 SE with just a drop in K&N filter . It's loads of fun !! They don't get down the 1/4 mile like a severely hopped up Chevy Super Sport like I used to run , but still very fun , even more fun with more people with Contours running . So Come on down !!
We'll have to set up a time to meet when it gets closer . I hope more people come too ... that would be really cool to get a whole bunch of 'Tours there


Doug - did you do the clutch yourself ?? I wouldn't want to do it on a Duratech !! Is it a stiff clutch ?? My brother needs a clutch on his Duratech soon , maybe a Grizzly would be good for him too .
