Hopefully there is time left to get a reply or two to this...
My brake pedal and emergency brake have both been getting gradually more slack, which led me to think that the rear drums were either not adjusted or were due for new leather. But when I took it in they said the old shoes were still good. I had the wheel off the other day for brake bleeding, and out of curiosity I wrassled the drum off, and I didn't see any adjuster in there. Are these rear drums really so cheap that they've got no self-adjuster? And is it normal for the brakes to get increasingly slack as the shoes wear down?
