Umm, you'll need to remove the caliper to get the rotor off. I'm not sure about the bracket you mentioned. My caliper bolts directly to the bracket which is part of the steering knuckle casting. Do you have aftermarket calipers w/ brackets maybe? Either way, they have to come off to slide the rotor off of the hub.
