As I have stated in previous posts, I have EBC Greenstuff pads and EBC Sport rotors on the front of my car. I really like them and ordered the EBC pads for the rear. I had noticed a vibration when braking but thought it was the rear rotors warped. Well, I had the rear pads and DBA slotted rotors installed today. The rear rotors were not warped; the front EBC rotors had warped. They have just over 5,100 miles on them. I do not abuse the brakes and neither does my wife. Also, we don't race the car. Have no idea why they warped. Talked to Jake at Tire Rack where I got the rotors and they have shipped me a new set today. I will have these installed next week and will have the wheels torqued to 70 ft/lbs and see what happens. Will keep you posted.

Does your SE run the 278mm rotor? If so better measure the new ones to be sure, someone on NECO orderd the 278 and got the 260mm.

I don't think Tirerack carries the EBC Turbo Groove(sport?)rotors in the 278mm size...last time I checked anyway. Unless he upgraded the brakes his car came with 260mm stock.

My EBC rotors are warped. I bought them from Tirerack. I sent them an email, but I haven't received any reply.
I'm going to upgrade my front rotors to the 278mm size and keep the Greenstuff pads for now.
I'm really disappointed that my rotors warped. My car is my daily driver. I drive mostly highway miles. I don't race it either.
Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Terry sells the EBC Turbo Groove rotors but good luck getting a price. I've been trying for 3 weeks now! I'll be taking my business elsewhere! Check you rear rotors. I've been feeling warpage but I think it's in my rears because when the car is hot and my KVR's get sticky and the rear stock pads fad I don't get wobble. I'm replacing the rear with KVR's and another slotted rotor advertised on the boards recently. www.precisionbrakescompany.com -Andy

My rotors are the stock size I am sure. I am wondering if there is anything besides the lugnut torgue of 70ft/lbs that I could do to keep from warping the new rotors.

From what I've seen/read/heard the greenstuffs are good for most normal/slightly aggressive street driving but don't hold up well to tracks/mountains/autox...and are also hard on rotors. My $.02

EBC has a new Greenstuff pad compound called VR4. I you get the Greenstuff pads make sure they are the new VR4. Apparently this new VR4 compound cools better so that the rotors will not warp. I think the Greenstuff pads I have on the front on my Countour that warped the EBC Sport Grooved rotors are the old compound. I am in contact by email with EBC and will let you know what they do for me.

Well, EBC quit communicating with me and I don't know what happened to them. Anyway, I put the new EBC Sport rotors on and returned the warped rotors to The Tire Rack. Now I have really smooth brakes that work great. As a reminder I have EBC Greenstuff pads all the way around with the EBC rotors up front the the DBA Longlife slotted rotors in the rear. The new EBC rotors have been on the care about 2 weeks and already are starting to rust as they have now coating. The DBA rotors have been on for about 6 weeks and look like they were put on yesterday because they have a coating. I wish I had not bought the EBC rotors and gone with the DBA rotors all the way around. I will really be mad if the EBC rotors warp again. Will keep you posted.
