I know this is off-topic for this post, but it was offered as a suggestion...

I installed EBC 'Turbo-Grooved' rotors on my car with a new set of EBC Greenstuff pads in February. After careful break-in (about 400 miles) they were excellent! [The brakes were even good during the break-in period.] Now, my rotors are warped (not when they are cold, just after about the first couple of miles).

The car is my daily driver. It has never been raced. [I always keep the speed to less than about 95 or so laugh .] Wheel torque is correct, too.

Now I'm looking for a new set of front rotors. I guess it's a good time to upgrade the rotors to SVT diameter (I've been in contact with Bill Jenkins already for the caliper brackets). I don't think I can recommend the EBC rotors (especially in a warm climate, like Southern California).

Just my (off-topic) two cents worth.

Did you happen to look at the caliper mounting bracket? In the area where the pads are supposed to slide there may be some dimples or grooves caused by the edges of the pads.

I am suspecting that the grooves present in my brackets are causing the pads to ride against the rotors with some pressure, overheating them and eventually warping them.
