If you look on the backside of the caliper you'll see 2 rubber boots w/ plastic endcaps. The sliding pins are in there. They'll either be 7mm hex or torx.
Was the spring clip installed correctly? They are a b*tch to get back in. I just changed the rotors & pads a few weeks ago, and I almost installed the clips wrong.
