I had never seen anything like it. Myself and a few friends went out for some spirited driving last night at the local airport, high speeds, heavy braking. Anyways, we all just messed around for about 30 minutes and when we all stop and get out of our cars my SVT's rotors are bright orange With a little smoke coming from them. Dont really know what the point of this post is other than I had never seen anything like it. We snapped some pics and I'll put those up later for ya'll to see. I felt sorry for my car after we got finished and gave her a nice bath this morning, everythings ok with her now. Anyone else ever had this happen? -neal

Since my driveway is flat, I hardly ever park with the parking brake. For the same reason. Don't want the rear rotors cooling at an uneven rate.

you'll probably want to flush some brake fluid out of the calipers to get some fresh stuff in 'em.

i did everything wrong I guess. While they were glowing I just let the car sit for about 15 min  I'll remember to drive it and let em cool down next time. I'll try not doing it very often :p My Baer brakes should be coming in at the end of the week so I might give my stock brakes one last scare before I let them go -neal

I had the ones on my `96 glowing before. My buddy and I were doing some 'spirited' canyon driving. I was only stopped for about 30 seconds or so. Enough for my friend to catch up to me. We took off again and gave both our cars time to cool off. Mine are warped now.

Mine are warped now. I found out it don't take long to warp your rotors. Especially if you are a spirited driver.

From EBC...'Brake discs are a disposable item of a motor vehicle and it is NORMAL in race use to replace brake discs every two or three short events.........
