Use your brakes!! That will wear the rust off the rotors

My discs start forming rust as soon as they get wet. I guess you could paint the parts that aren't rubbed by the pads.

My neighbors Corvette does the same thing. I don't know of any car that doesn't, except old Chevelles with front drums. As soon as you use your brakes it will rub off.

Using the brakes gets the rust off immediatley, usually a result of very humid air, like after it rains or if you live near an ocean/body of water/etc.
Could also buy a can of brake component cleaning stuff from an autoparts joint (made by 3M, what I use). Cleans the rotors and calipers well, gets rid of the buildup, and helps remove some of the rust buildup. Could just get cryopreserved rotors.

i noticed that i'm getting rust not on the rotor but the section that is closer to the the wheel (very hard to explain). its a 90degree angle w/ the rotor surface, directly perpendicular. can i get rid of it.

...and yes, I did SEARCH first before asking.

All disks rust. As stated before, just drive it, it will wear off right away.
