Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives Forums Modifications Brakes Rear Drum brakes--upgrade to discs or no?

Hi. I currently have a 99 SE Sport with an ATX.

Unfortunately for me the car came with rear drum brakes. Is it worthwhile to bother to replace them with discs or no, not with an ATX?

If I do replace them with discs, does anyone know how hard and or expensive it is?

I figure it shouldn't be too bad to do so long as I have all the hardware...just moving the brake line off the old crappy drums and attaching to the caliper of the new discs, right?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
