Asside from the eye candy appeal, the fitting of larger brakes to the rear will not provide as much benefit as the fronts. No way will it match the 'bang for the buck' and if you are racing the car the value is even LESS as the rear will be very light under extreme braking. Or you could race around with two large guys in the back seat to help out the situation....But hey, it's your money!

I was thinking about driving around with 500 pounds of sand everywhere I go. You don't think it will affect my 1/4 mile and my gas millage, will it???? laugh

besides that, you wouldnt want 13" brakes at all four corners. you would most likely go into a tail spin every time you hit the brakes. Front brakes must be larger to get optimal braking, they do most of the work. You can go bigger in the rear just not the same size as the fronts.
If you have ABS the rears should not lock. A friend of mine placed very large oversized breaks on rear of his card with no ill effects. It did stop faster but not as much as doing the fronts.
