supplier for rotor's and maybe other hardware. At this time, I know of only the rotor's being offered.
The company is an overseas based company with a single stateside supplier. This company has been around for the last thirty years and has won several prestigous awards for new products and designs. The supplier appears to have their act together as well.
I have been intouch via e-mail with the company and am so far very impressed based upon the e-mail and their website. I am going to call the supplier today and talk shop. I will bring up all the things that I have seen plague us Contique owner's with aftermarket support, the product's they offer, customer service and of course pricing.
I know that a majority of this board is made up of very discriminating buyers, so I will try to get as much information as possible and post it as soon as I can.
BTW, I am not mentioning any company names as I do not want this to turn out like the DMD issue. I have no desire to do all the footwork, to have someone else undermine the work I have done. On the same note, I am not running a business nor will I stand to make any sort of profit from this. All information will be posted via this thread and the individual may approach the company at their discretion.
I simply do not wish to have so many people involved in this so that nothing get's accomplished.
Please stay tuned for more information.
Mike

I talked with them again today, and they will look into a kit for us.
Here's what the kit should include. Wilwood Dynalite calipers, cross drilled/slotted rotor's(or not, depending upon which you want), pads, tainless steel lines and all necessary mounting hardware. This will be available for the SVT as well as other Contique's.
No price has been set yet, but we should have something ironed out by the end of next week.

I am really impressed with this company so far, and expect good things from them. Now of course you can probably piece together your own kit, so please think of this as an alternative to what is out there currently. Aftermarket support for our cars as you all know is slim, so finding this company is awesome,IMHO.

Front and rears or just front? I am going to need rear calipers (sounds like they are dragging) so I need to replace everything as it is....

I'll check on the rears to see if anything is offered.

First off, apology due to 1 Sick Puppy, I have completly forgotten to ask about the rear brake calipers. I will ask tomorrow.

Prototyping will soon be underway for the brake setup. I have to get a spindle/hub/basically the whole nine yards to these guy's, so that they can get everything put together. I should be able to get ahold of one and get it out to them by next week.

Here's the company that I've been talking to. They are Precision Brakes, based out of Ashland Oregon. The main thing that seperates this company is that they are the only stateside dealer for Disc Brakes Australia. DBA's rotor's and the like are featured on Ford's Tickford models. From everything I have read, the awards they have won, they are very reputable and make a quality product.
Precision Brakes is very willing to help us out in coming up with a kit. As they are already a dealer for DBA and Wilwood, there isn't going to be any pay half upfront, wait a few months for testing, $2000 dollar price tag associated with this. However, let it be known now that there is no price tag as of yet.

The kits will include Wilwood Dynalite Calipers, DBA cross drilled/slotted rotors, stainless steel brake lines, pads and mounting hardware.
DISCLAIMER From the research I have been able to do, to fit the Wilwood Dynalite calipers under stock SVT 16" wheels, a small portion ofthe inside of the spokes will have to ground off. If done properly, this should have no adverse affect on the structural integrity of the wheel.

A kit will be looked into for regular Contiques as well. This way the owner's of these vehicles do not have to spring for 16" or larger wheels.

FWIW, these rotors are available currently outside of a kit. For the SVT, prices run approx $115 for the front and $90 for the rear. These are for the cross drilled/slotted.

If all goes according to plan, everything will be installed and ready to go by SZ02, and if anyone wants to see how well it works, they can try my car for themselves. Like I said, if all goes according to plan.

The website's are www.dba.com.au
and www.precisionbrakescompany.com
in case anyone wants some reading info.

Myself and Daryl Armstrong(@Precision Brakes) discussed the possibilty of a GB. I told him that I would post this to see if any interest could be generated. He is asking for 10 orders, after my install of course.
I know that most everyone on this site wants something that has been proven effective and worthwhile to spend their hard earned money on.
Please keep in mind that they will be using products that have been on the market for quite sometime now.
I will post all install info, pics, my personal opinions on the product, and facts about the install when it comes around.

I am not going to ask for a yes or no now, but please look at the website's available information
and post here if you might have an interest in this. Please post any comments, concerns, gripes, problems or whatever about this here. Everything will be taken into account and the more information I have, the better this product can be for all of us.
Thanks,
Mike
P.s., I am not getting anything out of this except possibly a better braking system, nor do I intend to handle any of the purchase transactions. Everything will be done on a personal basis with Precision Brakes, unless they specifically ask me to do domething. Unlikely though.

I will talk to Daryl tomorrow.
Just curious, the GL's and SE's have 15's, right?

I have a question. What will the difference be between the Wilwood brake kit you are developing and the Wilwood kit that BAT sells?

Thanks
