Hey guys,
How many miles did everyone get out of their stock front rotors. I have 30K on my car and the dealer said they are warped and they are replacing them under warranty. Does this sound right?
I don't autocross, or race the car
Thanks

If the dealership is replacing them under warrenty, then by all means let them. Brakes and clutches are "Worn Products" at are usually not covered by warrenty So if the dealership is NOT charging you money then go for it. Now to answer you question, It's not incommon to see replacing your rotors at 30k

I just replaced my front rotors and pads at 53K.
If the dealer will do it under warranty, that's great!

I've got about 78K, w/ my mechanic telling me I should replace pads & rotors soon. Strange thing is the rear rotors are much more worn than the front. It still brakes pretty well.

Let's see, I have been through about 10 pairs of front rotors, two sets of rears and at least 25-30 sets of brake pads. Not to mention how many times I have turned the rotors to reuse them. The car shows 60K miles. I really like to drive, can you tell?

I changed mine at 110,000 KM (Canada) not sure what it is in miles. There were starting not to feel very good, but probably could have gone longer if I wanted to.

I have 20k on my front rotors and they are showing tell tale signs of being warped. Backs might be too, but not noticeable as of yet.
Stock pads are just over half gone.
I didn't know the warranty covered rotors? I know it doesn't cover pads. Maybe it's time for a trip to the dealer for some freebies, but is it worth having them touch my car???

Rotors are covered for warpage for the bumper to bumper period. Warranty requires the dealer to machine the rotors, not replace them. They can only replace the rotors if they would be too thin after machining.
