Just thought I'd post this, FYI. Last week I ordered Mintex 1144 pads for my SVT tour (Late model pads) from SP motorsports. They said they don't have them in stock and they called various spots including BAT and they are not available. Mintex says 8 plus weeks. Order your pads now.
As proof that the production date doesn't matter for the type of pads you have, my production date is 12/99 yet I have the calipers and pads from after 5/99 production. Anybody have some info on how much better the true SVT pads and calipers are?

I don't know that they really are any better. The older style may sweep the entire disc, but the clamping force down there isn't much in the entire equation. The other pads have less swept area, but get more surface area where it counts.

My Prod date is 05/98 and I have the newer small pads. Wish I knew that before I bought the pads.

I better measure my rotors soon, to make sure I have the SVT ones and not the regular contour. TOO lazy to check.
