i recently started having a problem w/ my brakes: the problem is that wen im doin 80+ and i go to stop fast the peddle gets spongy and the brakes dont really work. now i think that its wen u tap ur brajes at high speeds that it creates reversve friction for wen u need to really stop. i have the stock brakes. maybe switching to the crossdrilled rotors and new lines would help, but let me know

Welcome to Tours. World renown for crappy brakes!!! but well to me me rotors and pads both had vanish buildup when I bought her, your brakes could be creating a cushin of gas that builds up at high speed (read heat) stopping situations. this would also cause initial braking to squeal. if this is the case than a drilled or slotted rotor would help with the gas removal.

If you have air in a brake line, the pedal will be spongy all the time. If it just seems to go soft/uneffective on high speed stops or slow-downs, that sounds like heat fade. (Like Horse explained...) Try different (GOOD) pads (cheaper than rotors) and make sure there is no oil or brake fluid residue on any of the braking surfaces.

Sounds like moisture in your brake fluid. When cold it is OK, when hot it turns to steam and your brakes go away. When was the last time you flushed your brake fluid?

Sounds like a basic brake job is in order, new quality pads and a fluid change.

You got a Flush and you didn't have this problem before. I bet you have air in your lines. YOu need to have the bled to get all the air out.
